Sub 2Kg Drone Operator's Course
The Sub 2Kg 'Excluded' category is a great place to start in unmanned aviation, and great as a group delivery for Secondary Schools, Parks & Wildlife, the Community Groups, and any other organisation that wants to use smaller drones for security, mapping, monitoring etc. This category is the only category in which you can operate commercially, without a Remote Pilot's Licence (RePL).
There are a lot of aircraft that fall into this category including enterprise level aircraft such as the DJI Mavic and Matrice Enterprise series. There are also other, extremely capable aircraft that offer outstanding imagery on a serious budget - such as the DJI Mavic Mini series.
Whatever aircraft you have, or choose, in order to operate commercially, you need to know the 'rules'. When and where you can fly and when and where you cannot.
Our sub 2KG course delivers everything you need, from online theory and supporting documentation, presentations, quizzes and videos, to a day of practical flight.
On completion, you'll leave with your Aviation Reference Number and RPAS Operator Accreditation, plus a course completion certificate. Courses are held nationwide on demand and scheduled in our course diary below.
